I'm Mathew Raikes, Fixer and Owner of Darn-Computer.
A computer geek since 1985 when the U.S. Army "encouraged" me to make use of the darn things. They needed someone who knew how to type but didn't know enough to be afraid of the brand new computers. :-)
Fast forward to today, and I'm an operating system guru with hands on experience with everything from Windows 3.0 to Windows XP and Vista, including all Windows Server Platforms from NT4.0 through Windows Server 2003.
I'm familiar with programming and data access languages such as ASP.net, HTML, CSS, PHP, Visual Basic.net, JAVA, SQL/PL-SQL, VBA, C#.net, and development tools like Visual Studio, DreamWeaver and even Notepad.
I'm the go-to guy with proven abilities topped off with a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management (Computer Information Systems major) and multiple Microsoft certifications including Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Trainer.
I have over 20 years of computer, network and software experience. But more importantly, I have over 20 years of experience with computer users.
The bottom line is that I'm the guy called when something isn't working as it should,
or when someone asks "I wonder how . . .?"
